Laser Therapy
Pain Management for Your Pets

Pets are incredibly good at hiding pain. They innately do this to appear less vulnerable, a trait passed down through the centuries as a means of protection. Today, our pets play a much more intimate role in our lives, and we now know that as they age or experience injury, their pain is real and can be debilitating.

At Animal Emergency Hospital DeLand, we offer laser therapy, a proven treatment that humans have benefitted from for decades. And the best part is, no sedation is required, it doesn’t hurt, and can be part of a complete treatment plan that addresses your particular pet’s needs.

What is Laser Therapy?

K-Laser®, also known as High Power Laser Therapy, is an FDA-approved treatment that targets damaged tissue with specific wavelengths of light that have been proven to reduce inflammation and accelerate the healing process.

K-Laser therapy can stimulate all cell types, including soft tissue, ligaments, cartilage, and nerves, making it highly effective on a wide range of injuries and ailments.

Laser Therapy Appointments

K-Laser therapy treatments are cumulative, meaning even though your pet may experience improvement after their first visit, most patients require a series of treatments (generally 3-8) for the greatest benefit. Ask about our multi-visit packages for an economical way to help your pet feel better.

Rehabilitation

Our sister hospital, Animal Emergency Hospital Volusia, in Ormond Beach, FL, offers canine rehabilitation services. Led by Dr. Alyssa Carver, veterinarian and Certified Veterinary Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP), the team provides a variety of treatments that can help pets recovering from surgery, affected by a neurologic condition, lessen pain from osteoarthritis, and even lose a few pounds for a healthier, longer life.
